Rainy days in Thessaloniki

When it rains in Thessaloniki, the roads become rivers, people almost kill each other by carrying umbrellas because of no space on the pavements or trees in the middle of the pavements. However the biggest problem is with the paving slabs. A lot of them aren’t fixed very well so it easily moves when you step on it and then your shoes get wet immediately.
Just imagine one way to the canteen carrying umbrella in the rain and walking on the pavement with a lot of moving slabs… You arrive there totally pissed off and wet and almost without one eye.. What’s the solution? Probably to buy the wellies and be more patient.. or maybe better to stay at home!
