Today we went for a Mystery trip organized by ESN. We could choose between two options – mountains or ancient monuments. The decision wasn’t difficult for us and we chose the ancient monuments. We had no idea where we will go. We just knew that it will be more than 70km far from Thessaloniki. We left from Thessaloniki at 9 in the morning and at 10 we arrived to Vergina (Βεργίνα). Vergina is known with the burial site of the kings of Macedon, including the tomb of Philip II, father of Alexander The Great. We went inside the burial site, unfortunately we weren’t allowed to take photos inside.
Later we left Vergina and we went to Naousa (Νάουσα). We stopped there for two hours, we ate something and went around the city. After that we continued our journey and we got to Agios Nikolaos (Άγιος Νικόλαος). It was a parkland, so we were just walking there and we try to enjoy the view of beautiful nature that was surrounding us.
After two hours spent in Agios Nikolaos we went back to Thessaloniki. It was very nice trip!
