The idea for writing this post came when I went to see the sunrise. One morning I got up very early and I went up to the hill where the lighthouse is. It was a perfect spot to see the sunrise. When I arrived there, I sat on the rock and I was enjoying the time before the sunrise. Unfortunately, I wasn’t the only one who wanted to see it. Everything was perfect till one family came. They were talking all the time and they didn’t care about others. And that was the moment when I realized that they are missing so many things. Because they were talking continuously, they couldn’t hear the sound of the sea or the flying seagulls. They couldn’t experience the deeper purpose of sunrise, the magic of the upcoming day, the new positive energy that shines from the sun. It’s sad to say it but their only goal was to take a few photos and leave.
But why am I telling you this? In that particular moment I realized that sometimes we need to stop talking, we need to be silent and just to listen to the sound of the nature and to enjoy the present moment in peace. In general we should talk less and listen more carefully. We should concentrate what other people are telling us because they might have a significant message for us and if we keep talking or we think about other things during the conversation, we can miss it. Now I got further from the sunrise but the truth is that our lives are about experiences. Every day brings us something new and we should be grateful for that. We should enjoy every single day of our lives and keep our minds open. We live just once.
And remember, if you ever come to watch the sunrise, stop talking for a while and listen. The nature is talking to you. Live the moment.
