Trip to Meteora (Μετέωρα)

On Saturday we went for a trip to Meteora. We were supposed to meet at 7:15 at university and leave at 7:30. I think it’s not surprising that we left at 8:05!
It took about three hours to get there.. We had also about 30 minutes break in half way.
At Meteora we visited two monasteries and then we went for a late lunch. After that we went back home. We arrived quite late.

What is Meteora?
Meteora is one of the largest and most important complexes of Greek orthodox monasteries in Greece. The six monasteries are built on natural sandstone rock pillars. The nearest town is Kalambaka. Check this amazing video:
